The Professor Everyone Hopes to Have
UNE Professor Ryan Brod has created an atmosphere where people feel not only supported but heard and inspired to succeed.

Professor Brod, A writing Professor here at UNE, is one of those professors you never forget. When you go to his class, he is always there ready to greet you with a big smile and energy that radiates onto his students. In his classroom, students feel that learning is much less intimidating when with him. The atmosphere feels like a very inviting place where everyone is heard and has a voice.
From the very first day, Brod made a strong effort to learn all the students’ names and invite them into the conversation. He is a very understanding professor where if the class is behind, he will slow it down to help his students understand. What students seemed to notice most was his patience with his students. No question was too small or big in his class. He also made sure that no student ever felt ignored and always checked in with his students. Brod took the time to explain things in ways that make sense to everyone even if it meant going over material more than once.
